23rd April 2009
So... what's been happening?
Spent 4 days in Italy 4 weeks ago. Was really good! Seen the colosseum in Rome, Mt Vesuvius, Herculaneum, Pompei and Capri. It wasn't really hot, but it was nice not having to wear a proper coat xD There were loads of funny times that I should probably add to RFM, but I really don't have it in me right now to think about them nevermind write them all down. But anyway, I'll tell you this - if you ever go to Italy, do not leave without having had Nutella ice cream *salivates*.
Then there was the easter holidays. That was appreciated, but like usual went too quick & I got hardly any coursework/revision done.
Oooh! And I had my college interview and have been offered a place *squeal*! They were really nice & everything sounds good about it. Just slightly worried about the whole fact i won't know barely anyone - and I'm not the most naturally chatty person in the world with people I don't know :S But to hell with it, that's one of the reasons I'm going: to get out of this stupid, boring rut I'm stuck in right now.
Now it's "Uh oh, it's just dawned on me that we start exams in about 4 weeks" time and everyones slightly freaking about it. We've got to go on this BTEC maths weekend tomorrow (yeah the one I was moaning about in another post). We would have had a three day weekend had we not had to go D: Some people are actually thinking it's going to be good - I can't see what's good about staying in a motorway service station doing maths for two days to be honest.
Have had some vivid dreams lately. One featured some dorky (can't think of a better word! xD) yet extremely cute & funny guy named Billy (random) in which I think there was something going on between us :/ And I remember looking out of the window of building we were in and it was like Italy outside, and inside there were lots of cardboard boxes. Was weird. But I remember waking up and missing Billy haha xD It is now my lifetime mission to find The Billy.
Anyway, another one I had was (I think) at a Rise Against concert in some ginormous place with a massive screen and all I can really remember is (I think it must have been) Tim McIlrath putting his arms up in the air in a YEAAAH!! kind of way and his t-shirt coming up and showing his belly button. Why that is the only thing I remember clearly - I do not know. That is the last time I listen to Anywhere But Here just before I go to sleep.
Last nights was in some kind of holiday park/lodge place, but I can barely remember it now to be honest :/
It's weird because I don't normally remember ANY of my dreams. And now I get these randoms.
Has anyone got an account on www.Last.fm? Downloaded that thing that connects the site to your media player the other day & am finding it pretty cool. I'm listening to some of my 'recommended tracks' right now.
So anyway, if you want to add me my username is Namrams. Which is also my Twitter ;) I have barely any music on this new comp yet though, so thats why my selection on last.fm is pretty poor xD
So yeah, best be off, see you soon (hopefully before another month has passed).

19th March 2009
Don't really know why I'm making this post. Just felt like.
Need to do art homework for fear of being eaten tomorrow if I don't. I can't wait till all this coursework is over.
Anyone who watches QI remember --> this? <--
Found it hilarious when I saw it ages ago XD
Yay! New QI tomorrow!! :D
...
Right, I seriously have nothing else to say. Buhbye for now, lovelies.

12th March 2009
First of all, school draaaaaagged. Seriously, I've never known such a long and boring day. The morning wasn't too bad, but an afternoon of double business and then having to stay back for maths... *shake head*
Which brings me onto Public Enemy No.1. (eh?)
We got told ages ago that we'd probably be able to do a Maths BTEC. We got told we'd go away for the weekend to get it all done, and spend the Saturday in Camelot - or because that is now closed down - Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Today we got told that Blackpool is too expensive so we'll just go to the hotel to chill out there and in the town. Which is all fair enough. I would have loved to go to the fair, but it's not the end of the world.
Now here's the problem: The maths thing is Friday 27th March to the 29th. Me, Becky and Patty (and others, but they aren't in our maths class) go on our trip to Italy on the 30th. At 4:30am.
We told miss this and she was like "well, we won't be able to go till May then" and everyone else in the class sighed and was like "noooo! we wanna go now! we're all excited! we want to get it out of the way! You'll be fine! You can just sleep on the plane! Blah blah blah blah BLAH!" And even miss said "you can just sleep on the plane" >_<
I felt like screaming "ARE YOU INSANE!?!?" That means we would have to get up at 7am or earlier for TWELVE days on the run, with no free time (except for the week i am in school, AFTER school) and I would be going to bed really late the two days before I have to wake up at 2:30am to get to the airport for 4:30am. And I probably won't sleep the first few nights in Italy because you never do sleep properly at first on holiday!
The two times (Lloret & France) I went on holiday with hardly any sleep I thought I was having a migraine, I was so exhausted and disorientated. I don't want to feel like I am having a migraine. Migraines feel terrifying and horrible.
We don't even NEED this smeggin BTEC. I'm already predicted to get 19 flippin GCSEs from that weirdo school! You only need FIVE to get to college! >_<
It gets worse with that school, it really does. Its not so much what they're doing is bad, its just makes you go "WHHHHYYYY!?"
And they wonder why I'm totally against staying on next year! Good day sir! I SAID GOOD DAY!

25th February 2009
I'm sorta catching up in science! Yay! Still a bit behind, but I think most people are. At least I'm not uber stressing about it now. Still screwed for art, but at least she didn't moan at me when I said I hadn't done anything over half term because I'd had almost-flu.
I have a new love in my life: Live bands. Oh my God, Rise Against (and Anti-Flag & Flobots) were absolutley fantastic on Monday.
Flobots were pretty good. I heard someone call them alternative hip hop... it was basically rappers with guitarists and a violinist XD And one of the rappers did some funky dancing. Cool. Also: "Walk with! Walk with! Walk with Jules!"
Anti-Flag were good, but insane! Deflated-Mohawk guy was the insaniest (new word!). Every five minutes it was "You're f***ing beautiful, Liverpool!" or "I f***ing love you guys!" or "F*** the law!" or "Raise your middle fingers to the air, Liverpool, and sing with me!", he crowd surfed, he had a megaphone and... hahahahaha! He pulled the funniest face ever at one point. He looked like he was having a really big poo, but really he was just screaming (even though I heard no noise come from his mouth XD). This image came to me in a flash at dinnertime today and, yes, I found it very funny XD.
Rise Against took forever to come on - everyone was proper chanting, "RISE AGAINST! RISE AGAINST!" - but it was worth it when they did come on. They opened with Drones of all things, I was took by (pleasant) surprise by that. They did ALMOST every song I wanted them to. Yes, ALMOST. They didn't do Entertainment or Savior :( Why do Long Forgotten Sons over Savior!? What were they thinking! But anyway yeah - awesome. And they did all the biggies - Re-Education (the "To the rhythm of a heart beat pounding away" lines were amazing XD), Give It All and of course Prayer of the Refugee. I was thinking all the way through, 'I wonder when they're gonna do PotR', but (as I should have guessed) it was the last song. Everyone went crazy when that came on. Other songs I'm glad they did: Injection, The Good Left Undone (<3 that song!), Behind Closed Doors, Life Less Frightening (hey, the chorus is catchy!), Collapse, Chamber the Cartridge (except I was kinda distracted by the huge mosh pit going on in the middle and the fact I was being crushed against a wall when they did this song), Ready to Fall, Audience of One... yeah I loved them all! The two acoustics (Hero of War and Swing Life Away) were amazing too. The whole room was singing along with Tim (you have scary eyes, Tim, but you're awesome XD) and there were even some lighters in the air and everything. They did two songs I'd never heard before too - there was a good mix in there, they didn't just do everything off the new album. In fact I'd probably say there were more from Sufferer than Appeal to Reason. We also had a chant of "RISE! RISE! RISE!" (not entirely sure why, but whatever XD) in the middle. Patty caught this on video and it's so cool XD.
So yeah, you can probably tell I loved it. My ears were ringing afterwards (and I could hardly walk in a straight line for some reason), but I loved it. I reccomend seeing them live to anyone.

EDINBURGH, Scotland, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- A man who dressed as the Norse god Thor for a costume party in Scotland said he returned home and scared off a burglar who had entered his house.
Torvald Alexander, 38, a construction firm manager who stands at 6 feet tall, said he ran after the burglar with his red cape and silver-winged helmet still in place, making for an intimidating sight, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.
"As soon as he saw me his eyes went wide with terror," Alexander said of the burglar. "He looked like he had had a few drinks and decided to do a late night break in, but he hadn't counted on the God of Thunder living here."
"I had just got back from a fancy dress New Year's party and because I have a Norwegian name I decided to go as Thor," he said.
Alexander said the burglar did not have time to steal anything from the house and fled from a ground floor window without his shoes. He said the shoes will be turned over to police to help them attempt to identify a suspect.
As lots of people commented on the site I got this from, Why exactly did the burglar take off his shoes? Odd indeed.Sunday, December 28, 2008

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
Hope you all had a good time. I wasn't really feeling it this year but it turned out to be a nice day, not very exciting - but good all the same. I got what I asked for plus other little random stuffs. I would have asked for a puppy, kitten, PS3 or X360, but didn't see the point - the chances of me ever getting any of those things any time soon are pretty slim. (Although if there's nothing else to get for my birthday I might go halves on a cheapo 360 with Craig... I dunno.)
I actually think I enjoyed giving presents out as much as I enjoyed recieving them this year :)
I completed 'Professor Layton and the Curious Village' before. Yay! Yes, I did have to cheat here and there because some of the puzzles were really hard! (or at least appeared to be really hard, when actually they were ridiculously easy.... I'm looking at you 'Too Many Mice' -_-).
So, what should I play next?
I better go, been on here a while now. All the best for the new year!

Anywho, whatsa been a-happenin' lately? Had a nice chilled out weekend compared to last week's major stress-fest, picked our secret Santa's (I hope no one gets me bath stuff!!), started reading Twilight, erm... and I think that's it.
I got persuaded into joining Swagbucks.com. It's just like google but you can win these swagbuck things that let you win prizes. I've got a feeling that there's gonna be a catch somewhere along the line, but Carina sent away for an Avenged Sevenfold print and got it, so I though I may as well have a go.
If you wanna have a go use this link > http://swagbucks.com/?cmd=sb-register&rb=253084 < and any swag bucks you win, I shall also win! Mwaha!
I currently have 9. Only 4491 more to collect till I can get my hands on that PS3...
Got yet more art homework to do :(. I better start that soon actually, otherwise I'll get myself into a pickle.
I started playing Viva Pinata on my DS. Soooooooo addictive, man! Curse that Dastardos (or whatever his name is) for smashing open my sick pinatas *sob*.
Yet another English mock exam tomorrow. I can't wait. -_-
I wonder what I shall buy for my secret Santa, hmmm. I'll have to have a think.
As Becky had a habit of saying a while ago - Au revoir, baby!

25th October 2008
I'm listening to 'Radio 1 Live Lounge Vol 3' right now. Downloaded it because it looked kinda interesting with all the different covers on it. Pendulum's version of 'Violet Hill' was cool XD I'm currently listening to The Feeling's version of Kelly Rowland's 'Work' now. Haha, it's... unusual! But not as bad as you'd think actually!
I've found someone to go to see Rise Against with!! Actually, it's (I think) 2 people. I was asking around and Becky said she would go but seeing as how I don't think she actually knows who they are, I don't know if she will XD My mum's mate's daughter Jenny said she'd go with me too and I think she's been to the Carling Academy before so I won't feel so "I have no idea where I'm going! Ahhhh!" But anyway, gotta check whether Becky'll actually go before we can book tickets :( It better not sell out this week or something ridiculous. I doubt that would really happen, but it's the kind of typical thing that will probably happen!
Anyone know of any proper amazing "WHOOOOOOOOOA" DS games? I need one to sink my teeth into that I won't get bored with.
I had the need to play Jak II the other day but I don't have it so I was sad.
Toodles.

16th October 2008
I have to write an essay over half term. Oh happy days. Damn you English, damn you!
We went to see a french film today at Cineworld. It was called Tell No One. It was like a thriller-murder mystery-getting chased by the cops-kinda movie. Pretty alright actually.
And it would have been even better if we actually knew what was going on! The flippin' coach turned up late so we missed the first half hour/hour. Honestly.
I have a sudden urge to say, "My boy Salazar." Forgive me.

I didn't feel that bad at the time, but now the tiredness has just hit me like a brick wall. And I lost an hour & a half of my free time :(
Anyway, gotta go eat some hotdogs.
Adios.
